The project
The website for IAME kart engines: 18 engines, 60 world titles and a distributor network across the world
The client
IAME has designed, manufactured and sold kart engines in Verdellino, in the province of Bergamo, since 1968: engines entirely made and assembled in Italy, from entry-level categories to the World Championship. It is part of the Korus group, together with Kart Republic, Komet, Tatuus, Birel ART and other Italian motorsport companies.
The brief
A new iamekarting.com for a 60 to 175 cc range split between FIA Karting homologated and Sport engines, a record of honours dating back to 1964, a worldwide distributor network and hundreds of technical documents. Drivers, mechanics, teams and distributors each needed to find what they were looking for, in a few clicks and in English.
The approach
The analysis produced four questions: which engine, who won, where to buy it, how to maintain it. In the project each one became a section: the range in its two categories, a page per engine with technical data and documents, a record of honours filterable by brand, and a distributor search by country or company. In production we developed the website and connected it to the IAME ecosystem: IAME Motorsport, the IAME Warriors Final, the official store and Komet Racing Tyres.
- 18engines, each with its own page
- 60world titles in the record of honours
- 97technical documents in the technical area
- 8world regions in the distributor search
