The project
Still life of IAMETECH mechanical parts: cylinders, crankcases, connecting rods and shafts, for the website and the brochure
The client
IAMETECH is the brand through which IAME, part of the Korus group, offers its precision machining as a contract service. For IAMETECH we had already designed the logo and built the website; for IAME we also look after the engine website and the championship platform.
The brief
Showing the quality of the machining through the parts themselves: milled, ground and anodised surfaces, engraved codes, tolerances you can read by eye. Clean, mutually consistent images for use on the website and in the brochure.
The approach
A studio still life shoot on a white background, with a reflection on the surface: light that separates the machined surfaces from the raw cast ones and makes marks and codes legible. Cylinders, crankcases, connecting rods, shafts, flanges and anodised parts, shot with the same light and from the same viewpoint, then post-produced to keep the white consistent. The photos went into the Production gallery on iametech.com and into the brochure.
