The client

IAME has designed, manufactured and sold kart engines in Verdellino, in the province of Bergamo, since 1968, and ships them all over the world. It is part of the Korus group, which brings together Italian motorsport companies. For IAME we already look after the championship platform, the website and the Microsoft 365 environment.

The brief

Import and export customs files lived in spreadsheets, emails and chats: manual numbering, scattered documents, no control over who changed what. Procedures to be discharged, authorisations, MRNs and instalments had to be remembered without alerts. A single traceable system was needed, from the file through to document archiving.

The approach

We put ERA Customs, the customs vertical in the ERA family, into use. Each shipment is a file with automatic numbering by year and by flow; documents, invoices and delivery notes are attached and categorised by type; the deadline schedule covers procedures to be discharged, authorisations and certificates, MRNs and e-ADs, loans for use and instalments, with configurable advance notices and email alerts. Every change, access and export is recorded in a tamper-proof history; permissions are assigned by group and by individual user. The history was migrated from the Excel spreadsheets. The system runs on Unlead Cloud and is maintained by us.
